Hills Products Group
Hills Products Group, division of Northwestern Engineering, is a forest products company located in the Black Hills of Western South Dakota.
Founded in 1986, with the purchase and rebuilding of a wood preservation plant in Whitewood, SD, the company has grown to include Belle Fourche Sawmill in 1991 and McLaughlin Sawmill in 1994.
Hills Products pressure treats with both MCQ and CCA; both processes are monitored by a computerized control system and knowledgeable staff to provide the best possible products. These treated products include posts, poles, specialty fencing, railings, and lumber.
In addition to treated products, Hills produces pine boards, dimension lumber, planks, and timbers. With a route truck/distributing system in place, Hills also supplies FDN lumber and plywood, bridge lumber, utility poles, laminated poles, steel and wire fencing, bagged shavings, and bentonite bagged products.
