Allweather Wood LLC

Allweather Wood began operation in 1985 with our first lumber pressure treating facility in Washougal, Washington. In 1991, the company constructed a lumber pressure treating facility near Medford in White City, Oregon. With subsequent acquisitions, we added lumber treating facilities in Ferndale, Washington; Fort Collins and Loveland, Colorado. Allweather Wood now ranks as the largest waterborne lumber pressure treater in the Western United States. Our inventory is comprised of products that can be used for decks, fencing, and landscaping as well as docks, bridges, pole-type buildings, structural-framing lumber and agricultural-use round fence posts. Species include Ponderosa Pine, Lodgepole Pine, Hem Fir, Southern Yellow Pine, Douglas Fir and our newest addition of Redwood. We are currently treating with NatureWood (ACQ), CCA, PTI Cedartone and Borate preservatives as well as DBlaze interior fire retardant. Allweather Wood employs production practices that are environmentally responsible and highly efficient. By extending the useful life of wood products through wood preservation, we are conserving our forests as well as producing premium quality products that meet or exceed the standards of the American Wood Preservers’ Association.

Baker Timber Products, Inc.

Baker Timber Products was founded in 1961 as a small timbering operation in the Black Hills of South Dakota. We skidded logs with horses in those days, and axes and chain saws were standard equipment. The company first started producing posts and poles and later added a sawmill of our own producing rough lumber for agriculture and building industry markets. Today our operation includes a high-tech logging operation, a whole-tree chipping operation that provides chips to a particle board plant, and a grinding operation that provides a wood waste clean-up service for both private businesses and local governments. We also produce planed and rough lumber, posts, treated wood and a variety of mulches and bagged shavings for both rural and urban markets. We are proud of our history and progress in the timber industry in South Dakota and want to continue to provide high-quality products and services to our customers.

Roundwood West Corporation

Our family-owned business, Roundwood West Corporation, is known for competitively priced, quality doweled roundwood. In 1974 my parents, David and Jan Guelff, bought a Morbark peeler and started the yard. In 1999 my husband Kalvin Kovatch and I joined them. We now run rounding machines and dowel our wood in diameters from 2″ to 6″ in half-inch increments. We produce material in 6.5′, 7′, 8′, 10′, 12′ and 16′ lengths. Our furniture-quality roundwood, fence posts and rails, and some unpeeled wood makes up the majority of our markets. We split many of our doweled rails and produce a high-end symmetrical half rail. We have always been very active in the Intermountain Roundwood Association and we know it is beneficial to our roundwood business. Many invaluable contacts have been made over the years.
